Title: The Impact of Strategic Planning on Crisis Management – The Intermediary Role in Achieving Strategic Success in Iraqi Commercial Banks as a Model

Abstract: The study aimed to measure the impact of strategic planning on crisis management – the mediating role in achieving strategic success in Iraqi commercial banks as a model – and the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach to deal with the study variables. The study community consisted of (711) male and female employees. The study sample was selected by simple random method, amounting to (111) male and female employees working in Iraqi commercial banks. The questionnaire was used as a study tool. In light of this, data were collected, analyzed, and hypotheses were tested. The study reached a set of results, the most prominent of which are: that the level of strategic planning in its dimensions (vision, mission, and strategic goals) in Iraqi commercial banks was high, that the level of crisis management in its dimensions was high, that the level of strategic success in its dimensions was high, and that there was a statistically significant effect at the significance level (0.05≥α) for strategic planning in its dimensions (vision, mission, and strategic goals) in crisis management in its dimensions (early warning of the crisis, identifying strengths and weaknesses, providing solutions, and optimal utilization of resources) in Iraqi commercial banks. There is a statistically significant effect at a significance level of (0.05≥α) for strategic planning with its dimensions (vision, mission and strategic goals) in achieving strategic success with its dimensions (specific strategy, effective strategic implementation, and flat organizational structure) in Iraqi commercial banks, and there is a statistically significant effect at a significance level of (0.05≥α) for achieving strategic success with its dimensions (specific strategy, effective strategic implementation, and flat organizational structure) in crisis management with its dimensions (early warning of the crisis, identifying strengths and weaknesses, providing solutions and optimal utilization of resources) in Iraqi commercial banks, and there is a statistically significant effect at a significance level of (0.05≥α) for strategic planning with its dimensions (vision, mission and strategic goals) in achieving strategic success with its dimensions (specific strategy, effective strategic implementation, and flat organizational structure) in Iraqi commercial banks. The study recommended the necessity of applying the principle of participation and taking into account the views of employees and those dealing with the organization as part of the culture of strategic planning that must be It is used regularly, not seasonally or during a crisis.
